Really cool stuff. It's been very helpful to me. I was just wondering where I can find TOGGLE MECHANISMS and RATCHET DRIVE MECHANISMS, do you have any? do you know where I can find animations like yours for these particular mechanisms?
admin   2008-11-13 20:17:24
Dave, I will convert sliders to numerical steppers so that you can fine tune lengths. I do not know any formula for 4-bar link. Thanks.
Dave Anderson   2008-11-13 00:02:31
Thanks for the 4-bar link tool. Very helpful to visulize synthesis of the links. Is there some formulas that go with this for help with my project? Could you make it easier to enter a specific link length?

It might be a good idea to add arrows to the gear pump and roots blowers to indicate the path of the liquid. I believe many people think that the liquid gets pulled into the meshing teeth instead of traveling in the outer cavities. So in the case of your

Dan, it is good suggestion. I will work on it. Thanks
dan   2008-11-06 17:40:20
your 4 bar linkage one is amazing. Really helped me with my project. My suggestion is that you give an option to speed up and slow down the animation and also to change the direction with which the bars rotate nice1

Great animation clips.. However, could you improve the animation of the differential arrangement a bit?
Rodney Anderson   2008-10-12 13:07:36
the animation looks great,...but the scale doesn't make sense to me,is it venier of just the colors?,or metric? are all the blue segments the same lenth?I understood that there are eleven (11) different measurements to make a Jansen critter.this is by fa

Rike, thank you informing me about this library. It is an amazing project and I like their animations a lot. I will spend quite some time in their web site, since they have such a big animation collections.
Rike Brecht   2008-04-08 03:04:27
Do you know the Digital Mechanism and Gear Library DMG-Lib? An extensive and ever increasing collection of information on mechanism and machine science is available on the Internet portal of the DMG-Lib.

Excellent animations enabling visualization of complex movements, keep up the good work! :)
Joel   2008-02-20 12:34:53
Is sucker pump correct? You show the counter weight is lifted with the pump rod, I would have thought it would offset the pump rod. I think the connection to the next beam is from the middle of the counterweight, not from opposite side.

Thanks for the animations. How about bicycle internal hub so we can see how they shift. The transmition shows single speed but not how they shift gears

I would like to inform you that the coupling you named "Disk-And-Link", is actually called a Schmidt coupling. They are commercially available, take a look here: http://www.zero-max.com/products/schmidt/schmidtmain.asp

Really I like ur efforts N request to make it as downloadable.
Admin   2007-05-23 10:10:02
Linkage system uses inverse kinematics, which might cause these weird effect if you shake links rapidly.
Guest   2007-05-19 05:22:33
just letting you know, found something wierd in the peuculiieres cell, if you shake it up and down the line really quickly, you can break it apart!
mamdouh   2007-05-16 18:25:50
thank you for work in this site

Camshaft mechanism updated. I admit it, there are some problems. But I tried my best.
Wilson   2007-05-11 07:57:14
This site is immense!!
Peter Rogers   2007-05-10 15:12:17
Camshaft seems to have gone missing. Valve and spring movement OK but nothing drives it. Why not contact Ducati and ask about Desmodromics.

Its a very excellent site but one disappointment is that i was unable to download the animaation
Admin   2007-05-07 07:12:41
Four bar mechanism has been updated. Now you can change length of the linkages and move it from both ends.
Kevin   2007-05-04 08:30:59
Excellent. Good idea.
Bhisham   2007-04-29 05:49:14
Very nice work. Kudos.
George   2007-04-28 23:12:55
About the 4-bar linkage animation, can you modify the program to accept different arm length? Thanks.
John   2007-04-26 21:54:56
Cool
